Simple Passion is a 2020 French erotic film written and directed by Danielle Arbid. The film is based on the 1992 autobiographical novel of the same name by Annie Ernaux. A man and a woman were brought together by chance for several months. He is younger than her, married, Russian, officially a diplomat based in Paris. She is a beautiful teacher and researcher, with her feet firmly planted on the ground. The film closely follows the development of their love, from beginning to end.
